Publicada no Di\u00e1rio Oficial da Uni\u00e3o em 16 de outubro de 2024, a Instru\u00e7\u00e3o Normativa RFB n\u00ba 2.229\/2024 estabelece que, a partir de julho de 2026, o CNPJ passar\u00e1 a ser composto por letras e n\u00fameros, adotando um padr\u00e3o alfanum\u00e9rico.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A medida visa atender \u00e0 crescente demanda por novos registros e garantir a disponibilidade de combina\u00e7\u00f5es \u00fanicas para identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de empresas no Brasil. Mas o que isso significa na pr\u00e1tica? Quais ser\u00e3o os impactos para os neg\u00f3cios? Explicamos tudo a seguir.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Como ser\u00e1 o novo CNPJ?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">O novo formato ter\u00e1 14 posi\u00e7\u00f5es, seguindo esta estrutura:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>8 primeiros d\u00edgitos (raiz do CNPJ):<\/strong> Letras e n\u00fameros (ex: &#8220;A1B2C3D4&#8221;)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>4 d\u00edgitos seguintes (ordem do estabelecimento):<\/strong> Letras e n\u00fameros (ex: &#8220;E5F6&#8221;)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>2 \u00faltimos d\u00edgitos (verificadores):<\/strong> Apenas n\u00fameros, como no modelo atual<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A transi\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 progressiva, come\u00e7ando em julho de 2026, e n\u00e3o afetar\u00e1 os CNPJs j\u00e1 existentes \u2013 eles continuar\u00e3o v\u00e1lidos sem altera\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Por que a mudan\u00e7a?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">O crescimento acelerado de aberturas de empresas no Brasil levou a Receita Federal a buscar uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o para evitar a escassez de combina\u00e7\u00f5es num\u00e9ricas. O formato alfanum\u00e9rico amplia significativamente as possibilidades de combina\u00e7\u00f5es, garantindo a disponibilidade de CNPJs por muitos anos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Al\u00e9m disso, a mudan\u00e7a n\u00e3o exigir\u00e1 atualiza\u00e7\u00f5es imediatas nos sistemas das empresas, pois os CNPJs antigos permanecer\u00e3o v\u00e1lidos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Mudan\u00e7as no c\u00e1lculo do D\u00edgito Verificador (DV)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Embora a f\u00f3rmula de c\u00e1lculo continue sendo baseada no m\u00f3dulo 11, haver\u00e1 uma adapta\u00e7\u00e3o para incluir letras:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Cada caractere (letra ou n\u00famero) ser\u00e1 convertido em seu valor correspondente na tabela ASCII, subtraindo-se 48.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">&#8211; Exemplo:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A = 65 (ASCII) \u2192 65 &#8211; 48 = 17<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">B = 66 \u2192 66 &#8211; 48 = 18<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">0 = 48 \u2192 48 &#8211; 48 = 0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">9 = 57 \u2192 57 &#8211; 48 = 9<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Essa altera\u00e7\u00e3o garante que o sistema continue seguro e confi\u00e1vel, mesmo com a inclus\u00e3o de letras.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Impactos para as empresas<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A Receita Federal assegura que n\u00e3o haver\u00e1 impacto significativo para os neg\u00f3cios, pois:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>CNPJs antigos continuam v\u00e1lidos<\/strong> \u2013 n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 necess\u00e1rio alterar contratos ou documentos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Sistemas cont\u00e1beis e fiscais ter\u00e3o tempo para se adaptar<\/strong> \u2013 a transi\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 gradual at\u00e9 julho de 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Novas empresas j\u00e1 poder\u00e3o receber CNPJ alfanum\u00e9rico<\/strong> ap\u00f3s a implementa\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">No entanto, empresas de tecnologia e desenvolvedores de sistemas dever\u00e3o atualizar softwares para reconhecer o novo formato.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Prepara\u00e7\u00e3o sem pressa<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">A mudan\u00e7a para o CNPJ alfanum\u00e9rico \u00e9 uma evolu\u00e7\u00e3o necess\u00e1ria para acompanhar o crescimento do mercado brasileiro.
